How can cognitive behavioural therapy help?
The theory behind the cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach is that our thoughts and interpretations of situations are important. These cognitions are interconnected with our emotions, physical sensations and behaviours and if negative or distorted can therefore impact on our wellbeing. Likewise, we may feel our emotions strongly and this in turn can impact on our thinking.
Working with CBT allows us to find new ways of dealing with the different problems and issues that we experience.
CBT can help with anxiety, low mood, depression, phobias, panic, addictions, anger, self-esteem/self-acceptance, traumatic/stressful life events, work stress.
